There is a growing trend that listing agents are requiring buyers to be pre-approved with their preferred lender in order to submit an offer (even if they already have a lender). What are your thoughts on this practice?

Evidence that the real estate market in Orlando is showing signs of stabilization. While things like these are kind of like moving an ocean liner (slow and steady) they do indicate that things are looking up!
The Orlando Regional REALTOR Association’s summary of market activity (aka, the Market Pulse) was released today. There are more than 8,700 homes under contract and the days on market are DOWN from 102 to 96. Spread the word, the market is moving (slowly, but surely!).

Do you think that a person’s “absence” from a home constitutes their abandonment and if so, do you think the lenders for those homes should be able to foreclose in less time than those homes that are “occupied?”
